Environment Act and Biodiversity Net Gain
In this webinar Susan Sutherland and Cathryn Tracey provide an overview of the Parts of the Environment Act 2021, focussing on the provisions which impact the planning and compulsory purchase regime, particularly Biodiversity Net Gain and conservation covenants, and provide tips for issues to think about for projects which are being consented this year during the piecemeal introduction of all the provisions.

Cathryn Tracey
Senior Associate
Cathryn is a senior associate in the planning and compulsory purchase team. She is an experienced planning, energy, highways and CPO lawyer who worked in local government prior to joining Burges Salmon.
Cathryn has extensive experience advising on a broad range of planning and compulsory purchase matters. This includes Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) and compulsory purchase orders including compensation. She advises both promoters and objectors. Cathryn also works on projects promoting renewable energy including Developments of National Significance in Wales |
