Major social landlord to procure replacement legal services framework

Affordable housing provider The Riverside Group (TRGL), which manages more than 75,000 homes across 175 local authorities in England and Scoltand, is to procure a replacement legal services framework worth up to £11m.

The tender comprises three lots:

  1. Corporate, Finance & Treasury (including Commercial and Employment Services).
  2. Housing management.
  3. Property & Development.

In total, TRGL intends to appoint up to eight capable suppliers onto the framework to serve the requirements across the three lots.

The landlord made clear that the framework will be made available to all former One Housing entites. Full legal integration of the two organisations was completed in March 2023.

The closing date is 31 May 2024 (12pm).

The framework agreement is for an initial term of two years with the option to extend for up to a further 24 months up to a maximum of four years.
The contract is due start on 1 October 2024.

TRGL said the framework would complement its in-house legal provision, “particularly during periods of peak business demands and if any specialist advice is required”.
The contract is to cover requirements for England but excludes Scotland.

It named five firms to its current framework in October 2021.
