Bevan Brittan boosts healthcare expertise with appointment of specialist employment partner

Law firm Bevan Brittan has strengthened its health and care expertise with the appointment of experienced employment partner Oonagh Sharma.

Joining from Capsticks, Sharma will work across Bevan Brittan’s independent health and NHS teams. She will based in the London office.

The firm said Sharma “has significant experience of representing private and public health and care clients at employment tribunals, advising on the full range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters including whistleblowing, change management, disciplinary and grievance issues".

Sharma’s appointment follows the recent hires of partners Amanda Wright-Kluger and Amrita Hurst to the firm’s Health & Care - Regulatory team.

Sharma said: “The reputation of Bevan Brittan’s employment team, and independent health and NHS practices, is outstanding. This was a natural move for me to progress my career. Health and care organisations in the private and public sector face many employment law challenges and I look forward to working with clients across the country to help them navigate these issues.”

Jodie Sinclair, Senior Partner and Head of Employment, Pensions and Immigration at Bevan Brittan, said: “We have experienced a decade of growth at Bevan Brittan and have ambitious plans for the future. Alongside our immigration and pensions teams, our employment law practice supports some of the biggest independent health, care and NHS organisations in the country.  They will benefit from Oonagh’s expertise, she will be a great asset and we are delighted that she has joined us.”
