TfL fires gun on procurement of £120m legal panel

Transport for London (TfL) has started the procurement of a legal services framework estimated to be worth up to £120m over six years.
TfL said the framework would include a number of law firms “with the requisite resources, expertise and experience” to advise it, the Greater London Authority and its other functional bodies (the 'GLA Group').
The framework will be in place for four years with an option to extend for two further years at the sole discretion of TfL.
It has been divided into the following lots:
- Employment law (estimated value: £10m).
- Major commercial matters (£24m).
- Rail industry specialists (£6m).
- Routine commercial and real estate matters - contentious and non-contentious (£30m).
- Housing (£10m).
- Complex property and commercial development matters (£20m).
- Major consents matters (£10m).
- Town and country planning and highways matters (£10m).
The time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 5 July 2024 (12 pm).
