North East council to procure claims handling legal services framework

The local authority said the framework would be awarded on ranked supplier basis. It said it was envisaged the top three highest ranked suppliers would be appointed to this framework, with orders being placed with the supplier ranked first. However if the first ranked supplier is unable to meet the council’s requirements, orders may be placed with the supplier ranked second and so on.

The council has reserved the right to run a mini competition with all three ranked providers.

The contract will be awarded on the basis of quality (weighting: 57.5), social value (weighting: 5), quality pass/fail (weighting: 0) and price (weighting: 37.5).
