Mayor’s Office for Police and Crime gives notice for re-tender of £65m national legal services framework

The current framework expires on 31 January 2021.

MOPAC said the new framework would supply legal services to a range of public bodies “including the GLA functional bodies, police forces, police authorities and various other public bodies including all local authorities in England, Wales and Northern Ireland”.

MOPAC is responsible for delivering the Mayor of London’s Police and Crime Plan and for oversight of the Metropolitan Police Service.

In July 2016 the Metropolitan Police Service named seven law firms to a national legal services panel then estimated to be worth up to £24m over four years.

The successful firms were:

• Capsticks;
• Clyde & Co;
• Gowling WLG;
• Michelmores;
• Plexus Law;
• TLT Solicitors;
• Weightmans.

The framework was divided into four lots with three suppliers appointed to each lot.
