Philip Kolvin QC appointed Recorder of the Crown Court

Philip Kolvin QC, head of Cornerstone Barristers, has been appointed as a Recorder of the Crown Court.
The appointment is part-time, for two and a half days per month. He will be continuing as Head of Chambers and his practice as a barrister will be unaffected, the set said.
Kolvin said: "At Cornerstone we encourage our members of all seniority to give back to the community in meaningful ways. Hence, I am looking forward to the challenge of sitting in the Crown Court in a judicial capacity. I also hope that my legal learning as a Recorder will help me more generally in the service I can provide to clients."
