LGSS Law expands with new office in Huntingdon

LGSS Law, the social enterprise law firm, has opened a new office in Huntingdon in response to increased demand for its services.

Wholly owned by Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Central Bedfordshire Councils, LGSS Law also has offices in Cambridge, Northampton and Shefford. It now has more than 140 members of staff.

Quentin Baker, Director of LGSS Law, said: “We are delighted to announce the opening of our fourth office which will enable us to provide even better services to our clients across the East of England and East Midlands. The new office is centrally located in Huntingdon with excellent transport links making it very accessible to clients and within convenient distance for our lawyers to visit clients.

“In addition, the new offices are equipped with the latest technology enabling us to hold virtual meetings to save travel time and expense. The purpose built office accommodation is situated next to the Courts and Tribunal centre which is convenient for matters being heard locally. There is also space for further expansion in response to increasing demand.”

Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire set up LGSS as a shared service in October 2010. A deal in May 2013 saw Northampton Borough Council’s legal team join the practice.

In April 2015 it became an alternative business structure after securing a licence from the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

In January this year it was named by Central Bedfordshire as its preferred bidder for the establishment of a shared legal service.
