Public law specialist joins 11KBW
Juliet Wells, whose practice spans public law, group litigation, commercial law, international law, public inquiries, and costs and litigation funding, has joined 11KBW from Temple Garden Chambers.
The set said many of her cases involve issues at the intersection of those practice areas and have an international dimension.
“Juliet is often instructed in high-profile and complex litigation, regularly undertaking work well beyond her level of call,” it added.
Called to the Bar in 2016, she is a member of the Attorney General’s C panel of counsel.
She has advised the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government on the design and implementation of its flagship £5bn scheme requiring major developers to remediate high-rise buildings found to be defective following the Grenfell Tower Fire (led by James Eadie KC and Jason Pobjoy KC of Blackstone Chambers).
Wells said: “I am thrilled to be joining 11KBW, a dynamic set with an outstanding reputation across my areas of practice. I am looking forward to working with my formidably talented new colleagues as I embark on this exciting next chapter of my career.”
Daniel Stilitz KC, Joint Head of Chambers, said: “We are delighted that Juliet is joining us at 11KBW. She is developing a strong practice and reputation in public law and related areas. She will be a fantastic addition to our team of highly rated juniors. Her recruitment continues our strategy of growth across all our core practice areas.”
