Two firms appointed to £5m Forestry Commission legal services contract

All arms of the Forestry Commission – Forestry England, Forest Services, Forest Research – will be able to utilise the services under the contract.

The contract was divided into the following lots:

1. Property and General Business Advice
2. Public Liability and Employment Liability Claims
3. Employment

The successful firms were:

• Mills & Reeve (lot 1)
• Weightmans (lots 2 and 3)

As the most regular and largest user of legal services, Forestry England managed the procurement of this contract.
