Two firms appointed to £5m Forestry Commission legal services contract

Forestry England has named two firms to a £5m contract for the provision of legal services to the Forestry Commission over five years.
All arms of the Forestry Commission – Forestry England, Forest Services, Forest Research – will be able to utilise the services under the contract.
The contract was divided into the following lots:
- Property and General Business Advice
- Public Liability and Employment Liability Claims
- Employment
The successful firms were:
- Mills & Reeve (lot 1)
- Weightmans (lots 2 and 3)
As the most regular and largest user of legal services, Forestry England managed the procurement of this contract.
