Forestry Commission fires gun on procurement of £5m legal services contract

The Forestry Commission is to procure a legal services contract worth an estimated £5m over five years.
The contract is divided into the following lots:
- Property and General Business Advice.
- Public Liability and Employment Liability Claims.
- Employment.
The closing date is 11 November 2024 (12pm).
The contract start date is 1 March 2025 and the end date is 28 February 2029.
The Forestry Commission said: “We will be awarding a contract for the provision of Legal Services to the Forestry Commission.
“All arms of the Forestry Commission (Forestry England, Forest Services, Forest Research) will have access to utilise the services under the contract.
“As the most regular and largest user of Legal Services, Forestry England are managing the procurement of this contract.”
