Group of Scottish local authorities name seven firms to £12m legal services framework
A consortium of Scottish local authorities has appointed seven law firms to a legal services framework worth £12m.
The procurement was led by the City of Edinburgh Council. The other participating authorities were: East Lothian Council; Midlothian Council; Stirling Council; and West Lothian Council. The framework may also be used by any local authority within Scotland.
The framework was divided into the following lots:
- Commercial.
- Property and Planning.
- Litigation.
- Employment.
- Major projects.
- Debt recovery.
The successful firms were:
- Anderson Strathern (Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6).
- Brodies (1, 2, 4).
- Clyde & Co (4).
- CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang (5).
- Harper MacLeod (1, 2, 3, 4).
- Morton Fraser (1, 2, 3).
- Shepherd and Wedderburn (1, 5).
The contract was awarded on the basis of quality (weighting: 60) and price (weighting: 40).
