Yorkshire authorities to procure £9m barristers panel for childcare legal services
- Details
A group of local authorities in Yorkshire are to procure a £9m framework of barristers for the provision of childcare legal services.
Wakefield Council is acting as lead authority for the appointment of the panel, which will also be used by the other four members of the WYLAW consortium (Kirklees, Bradford, Calderdale, Leeds) and York City Council.
Wakefield said: “The local authorities are wishing to appoint barristers who are suitably experienced and skilled and who can demonstrate the ability to deliver high quality services at cost-effective prices.”
The framework is scheduled to start on 31 August 2019 and run until 30 August 2022
There will be the option to extend the term for a further year.
It would operate on a non-exclusive call-off basis.
