English Heritage appoints three firms to revamped panel

Shoosmiths, Bircham Dyson Bell and Bond Pearce have been appointed to English Heritage’s new panel.

The appointments by the government’s advisory body on the historic built environment are for three years, starting from 1 March 2010. Some 56 firms tendered for a place on the panel.

Mike Harlow, legal director at English Heritage, said: “There was a strong response to our invitation to tender, reflecting a very competitive market-place.”

The panel review sees Shoosmiths appointed to advise for the first time, while Bond Pearce and Bircham Dyson Bell have acted for English Heritage for a number of years.

Julian Hamblin, client relationship partner at Bond Pearce, comments: "We are delighted with this re-appointment. English Heritage is a client with whom we are proud to be involved."
