Civitas Chambers barrister named Welsh Interest Member of Civil Justice Council

Barrister Owain Rhys James has been appointed as the Welsh Interest Member of the Civil Justice Council.
The Civil Justice Council CJC is the statutory advisory body, which advises the judiciary, government and rule makers on the development of the civil justice system including how it can be more accessible, fair and efficient.
Rhys James’ term will be for three years to 23 January 2029.
He will continue with his practice at Civitas Chambers alongside this role.
The set said Rhys James is keen to hear from those working in and involved with the civil justice system in Wales.
