Cornerstone appoints Hawes as new Senior Clerk
Cornerstone Barristers has appointed Julian Hawes, former Director of Business Development at the International Arbitration Centre (IAC), as its new Senior Clerk.
The set said Hawes played a pivotal role in revitalising the IAC and transforming it into a thriving hub for arbitration. “His leadership was instrumental in overcoming challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and establishing the IAC as a key player in the dispute resolution sector.”
Prior to his role at the IAC, Julian served as Joint Senior Clerk at Brick Court Chambers for over 20 years, “where he developed an outstanding reputation for his expertise in clerking, client service, and business strategy”.
He will begin his tenure at Cornerstone on 10 March 2025.
