Tower Hamlets to appoint provider to two-year debt recovery deal
- Details
The London Borough of Tower Hamlets is to appoint a provider to a two-year deal for carrying out a fully managed enforcement service in respect of unpaid council tax and other debts.
The contract, worth between £50,000 and £150,000, will run from 1 February 2016 until 31 January 2018.
Tower Hamlets said the provider would need to be Law Society and SRA regulated.
The services will include debt recovery for council tax, non-domestic rates and sundry debtors plus any other debts due to the council “as quickly and efficiently as possible” in both the County Court and High Court.
“In addition, any successful supplier will be required to supply legal advice and instruct counsel in relation to any of the aforementioned,” Tower Hamlets said.
