A school this week asked a High Court judge to block a critical Ofsted report from being published, it has been reported.
According to the BBC, the Ofsted report is understood to criticise the school for a policy of teaching boys and girls separately and segregating them at mealtimes.
The school is said to have the backing of its local education authority in its attempt to stop publication of the report.
Reporting restrictions apply to the case, meaning the school and its location cannot be revealed.
The BBC report said barristers representing the school had claimed documents suggested Ofsted inspectors had decided that segregation of pupils was unlawful, before visiting the school. The school’s legal team argued that there had been "pre-determined bias" against the school by inspectors.
