District appoints City law firm to £700k contract for legal advice on commercial property acquisitions

Uttlesford District Council has appointed international law firm Hogan Lovells to act as its legal representative on the acquisition of a number of commercial properties.

In a voluntary ex ante transparency notice the local authority said the acquisitions would contribute to its investment strategy for income generation,

“Hogan Lovell will be retained for two years and be appointed to act on our behalf should further investment opportunities be presented,” it added.

The initial estimated total value of the contract is £700,000.

The contract will run until 31 Mar 2022.
