Council awards £2m contract to law firm for legal services on major estate regeneration
- Details
The London Borough of Enfield has handed law firm Pinsent Masons a two-year agreement to advise on legal services in relation to estate regeneration.
The local authority said the law firm would “provide external legal services to supplement council's Legal Services in supporting the regeneration of the Joyce Avenue and Snell's Park regeneration project”.
The contract started on 22 September 2022 and is scheduled to run until 21 September 2024.
In October Enfield submitted proposals to replace the estate’s 795 homes with 1,900 new properties and create high quality open spaces.
The planning application followed a ballot in December 2021 which saw 78.5% of residents voting in favour of the council’s regeneration proposals.
