Former Deputy Head of Legal at Blackpool joins Forbes Solicitors as Senior Associate

The former acting Head of Legal and Deputy Head of Legal (Regeneration and Governance) at Blackpool Borough Council, Gemma Duxbury, has joined Forbes Solicitors as a Senior Associate.

Based at the firm’s Central Lancashire office, Duxbury will advise on contractual, procurement and governance matters, focusing mainly on the public sector and local government.

Duxbury, who had been at Blackpool for a decade, said she was excited to work with Forbes Solicitors on expanding the firm’s services to public and third sector clients.

Forbes Solicitors highlighted Duxbury’s specialisms in:

  • Public sector and local government matters – highways, planning, property, contracts, academy conversions
  • Building and regeneration projects, including infrastructure
