Shared legal service implements latest version of Lexis Visualfiles

The South London Legal Partnership (SLLP) has implemented the latest version of Lexis Visualfiles, the legal workflow and case management system.

The shared legal service has been seeking to streamline legal processes across the five boroughs it advises, delivering productivity gains to the 130 users and business efficiencies.

Adoption of the latest version is also said to have been instrumental in enabling the SLLP initiative to expand by providing a flexible and scalable case management platform.

The business operation of the SLLP is supported by a number of workflows such as the right to buy, lease extensions, notices, housing possession, injunctions, and collection of performance indicators.

Paul Phelan, the SLLP’s Head of Practice, said: “Visualfiles underpins our operations and is the ‘master file’ for all legal cases in the five boroughs. This latest version of Visualfiles further broadens the core functionality of the solution, which will help us persist with our efforts to continuously improve our efficiency and productivity. With the enhanced capabilities offered by the solution, we also have greater transparency of our business performance.”

Visualfiles said an artificial intelligence robot functionality provided by its solution would make a number of existing processes, such as document bundling, faster.

The SLLP is also developing a new debt module in the solution, where the robot will be deployed to perform a number of debt-related tasks in the workflow.

Andy Sparkes, General Manager at LexisNexis Enterprise Solutions, said: “We are delighted that Visualfiles is supporting this shared legal services initiative to grow and meet its business objectives. The Visualfiles platform is truly scalable and flexible and we are committed to continuously enhancing its capabilities to meet the evolving needs of public sector organisations.”
