Children’s law specialist moves to Harcourt Chambers
- Details
Children’s law specialist Hannah Mettam has joined Harcourt Chambers with immediate effect.
Harcourt Chambers said Mettam, formerly of Senate House Chambers, “will continue to develop her exceptionally busy and successful children’s law practice, primarily in the public law arena but also in complex private law cases.
“Her arrival further strengthens our impressive team of specialist practitioners and helps us support our expanding client-base.”
Called to the Bar in 2006, Mettam acts on behalf of local authorities, parents, children and interveners in a wide range of cases including:
- Cases involving child death
- Serious non-accidental injury
- Fabricated and induced illness
- Admission of children to hospital for treatment
- Sexual abuse
- Complex medical evidence.
Mettam was appointed in February this year as assistant Coroner for Nottingham and Nottinghamshire to support the Senior and Area Coroners across the full range of Coroner’s duties for the county, including presiding over inquests.
