Tributes paid after sudden death of head of litigation at Government Legal Department
- Details
Tributes have been paid to Stephen Amos, Director of Litigation at the Government Legal Department, who has died this week.
Jonathan Jones, Permanent Secretary at the GLD, tweeted yesterday: “Desperately sad at the sudden death of our wonderful colleague Stephen Amos (GLD’s head of litigation).
“Great lawyer, colleague and friend, all-round lovely person. Impossible to do justice on twitter but I feel there are many who would wish to know.”
Prior to the GLD, Amos held a range of roles at government departments including the Cabinet Office, the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, and the Health & Safety Executive.
A tribute from Professor Richard Moorhead, a friend of Mr Amos, can be viewed here.
