Law firms advise social landlords on largest stock swap to date
- Details
Law firms Trowers & Hamlins and Devonshires have advised on what is believed to be the affordable housing sector's largest stock swap so far.
The stock swap comprised of almost 2,500 occupied homes with Paradigm Housing acquiring 1,388 homes from the Guinness Partnership in Wycombe, Welwyn Hatfield and the Dacorum local authority areas. Guinness acquired 1,133 homes from Paradigm in Hillingdon and Hounslow.
Trowers & Hamlins provided legal advice to Paradigm from the outset of this project in early 2019 through to completion.
The team was led by partners Jeremy Hunt and Hannah Jackson supported by managing associate Rebecca Gibson and a large team working on the project across both the London and Exeter offices.
Hunt said: "We are pleased to have advised Paradigm Housing on this landmark stock swap with the Guinness Partnership in a deal that is highly beneficial for both parties."
