South of England councils name 48 providers to £40m legal services framework

Four councils in the South of England have appointed 48 law firms, barristers chambers and other providers to their latest legal services framework, which is worth an estimated £40m over four years.
The framework has been procured by Surrey County Council. The other contracting authorities are East Sussex County Council, Brighton & Hove City Council and West Sussex County Council. Their associated districts and boroughs will have access to the framework.
The contract has been divided into the following lots:

- Lot 4: Commercial Law, Contracts & Procurement, Telecoms & IT Law, Construction Law
- Lot 5a: FOI GDPR Information Law

- Lot 6a: Highways, Planning and Environment
- Lot 6b: Property and Housing
- Lot 7a: Employment
- Lot 7b: Civil, Criminal, Environmental Health, Licencing & Housing, and Contentious Construction
- Lot 8: Legal Counsel/Advocacy Services for Lots 1-7
- Lot 9a: Children’s Social Care - Part A - Transactional Case Work
- Lot 9b: Children’s Social Care - Part B - Counsel/Advocacy
- Lot 10: Costs Lawyer
- Lot 11: Loss Adjusters
