Places for People to procure £28m development legal services framework

Places for People Group, the placemaking and regeneration company, is to procure a four-year framework agreement providing legal services for its developments division worth an estimated £28m.
The framework agreement has been divided into three lots, with two for England and Wales and one for Scotland.
The lots for England and Wales are:
- Lot 1- Developments General (five firms to be appointed)
- Lot 2- Developments Disputes (three firms to be appointed)
The lot for Scotland is:
- Lot 3- Developments General and Disputes (three firms to be appointed)
Places for People said: “On all Developments legal services UK wide, we anticipate the value of the contract (based on addressable spend) to be approximately £7 million (per annum).
“Further contracts awarded under the Framework for either Places for People Group companies' members will be awarded in accordance with either the Direct Award or Competitive Award Procedure as described in the Framework Agreement.”
The contract is expected to run from 1 May 2026 to 30 April 2030.
The award criteria are quality and technical merit (weighting: 60%) and pricing (weighting: 40%).
Places for People is responsible for more than 200,000 properties and over 120 leisure centres across the UK.
