National Procurement Service in Wales to engage with suppliers on plans for replacement solicitors framework
- Details
The Welsh Government’s National Procurement Service is to hold supplier events next month to discuss its planned implementation of a replacement framework agreement for the provision of solicitors services to the Welsh public sector.
The Service said it was anticipated that the framework agreement would cover the following subject area packages:
- Civil litigation;
- Criminal litigation;
- Corporate governance and ethical standards;
- Employment law;
- Major IT and commercial contracts;
- Planning and environmental law;
- Property;
- Adult social services law;
- Child social services law;
- Education law;
- Administrative law;
- Specialist Welsh and UK Higher Education Advice for the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales (HEFCW);
- Specialist central government advice.
The South Wales supplier event will be held on 9 October in Bridgend and the North Wales supplier event will be held at Llandudno Junction on 15 October.
In September 2015 two local authorities – Staffordshire County Council and Conwy County Borough Council – won places alongside 17 law firms on the National Procurement Service’s £60m legal services panels.
