Nottingham City Council has appointed law firm Bevan Brittan to a £1.8m contract to provide legal advice on PFI expiry.

The city council said that iIn order to progress with the expiry planning in line with government guidance, manage the process appropriately whilst reducing risk and financial exposure”, it needed to engage a legal services company to support officers in providing advice through the process.

The contract is due to run from 3 August 2026 to 3 August 2027.

Twelve other suppliers submitted bids for the contract.
