The New Data (Use and Access) Act - Act Now

The Data (Use and Access) Act will amend the UK GDPR as well as PECR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Amongst other provisions, it will introduce:
  • A new legal basis for processing personal data
  • Amendments to the UK GDPR's rules on international data transfers and automated decision-making, and data subject rights
  • A structural and significant reform of the Information Commissioner's Office
  • New rules on cookies and similar technologies

This workshop will help you prepare for the UK's new data protection regime, ensuring you are ready to meet the law's requirements and helping you leverage the changes intended to simplify compliance.

By the end of this workshop you will be able to: Position your organisation to leverage the changes to the UK's data protection and privacy framework, explain the changes that could be required across different parts of your organisation, prepare in advance for the changes that could impact your day-to-day work as a data protection professional.
