Department for Education selects four firms for £16m legal services panel

The Department for Education (DfE) has appointed four law firms to a legal services panel worth an estimated £16m over three years.

The panel will offer a range of procurement and commercial law advice which could include topics such as contract law, IP, GDPR, and Public Sector Procurement across the DfE Commercial Directorate.

The successful firms are:

  • Mills and Reeve
  • Gowling WLG (UK)
  • DAC Beachcroft
  • Dentons (UK and Middle East)

The four firms will supplement commercial legal advice already provided to the DfE by the Government's Commercial Law Group.

The contract began in July of this year and will run for up to four years.

The procurement was by call-off from a framework agreement.
