University to procure £1.4m contract for external legal services

The University of Huddersfield has issued a contract notice for the procurement of external legal services worth an estimated £1.4m.
The university said its requirement covered a broad spectrum and might include:
- Student affairs
- Statutory framework and governance
- Property matters
- Employment and personnel matters
- Company and commercial matters
- Charities law
- Intellectual property
- Litigation
- Statutory compliance
- Licensing
- Financial matters
- International
- Data protection
The resulting agreement will have an initial duration of three years (from 1 February 2022 until 31 January 2025), with the option to extend for two further periods of two years, “subject to continued satisfactory performance and pricing”. The maximum agreement term is seven years.
