University names nine suppliers to £8m legal services frameworks

Nottingham Trent University has appointed nine providers to two frameworks for legal services worth an estimated £8m over eight years.
The university has divided the framework into the following lots:
- Lot 1a - Property or Real Estate (estimated value including VAT: £1.5m)
- Lot 1b – Construction (£1.5m)
- Lot 2a - Human Resources - Ad-Hoc (£1.6m)
- Lot 2b - Human Resources - Retainer Service (£250,000)
- Lot 3 - Dispute Resolution (£600,000)
- Lot 4 - Commercial and Corporate Services (£600,000)
- Lot 5 - Student Matters (£600,000)
- Lot 6 – Patent Management (£1.35m)
The successful firms were:
- Barker Brettell (Lot 6)
- Bevan Brittan (2a)
- Browne Jacobson (1a, 4)
- Eversheds Sutherland (2b)
- Freeths (1a, 1b, 2a)
- Greaves Brewster (6)
- HCR Legal (1b)
- Mills & Reeve (1a, 1b, 3, 4, 5)
- Shakespeare Martineau (2a, 3, 4, 5)
Framework one is expected to run from 10 March 2026 to 9 March 2029, with framework two running for 60 months to 9 March 2034.
