Many schools and academies have experienced a growing number of discrimination claims and complaints, along with an increasing number of pupils questioning their gender.

In this short session, we will cover:
• the specific duties schools owe to pupils with protected characteristics
• how equality impacts on the development and implementation of school policies
• practical tips for meeting equality duties on a day-to-day basis in schools
• specific considerations in respect of pupils with the protected characteristics of disability
• the public sector equality duty (PSED)
