Lockdown has led to a new surge in anti-social behaviour with data from the Housing Ombudsman, Resolve ASB and the National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) showing an increase in complaints during the pandemic.

In July 2021, The National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) and the charity Resolve ASB published the results of a jointly commissioned YouGov poll on ASB in which 36% of respondents said ASB had got worse since lockdown, with high numbers showing dissatisfaction with police and council responses. Meanwhile, the Housing Ombudsman's most recent quarterly report found that anti-social behaviour concerning tenant behaviour is the second most complained about issue it deals with, after disrepair.

So, what are the most effective ways that social landlords can tackle ASB? Join expert Housing barrister, Kuljit Bhogal – author of Cornerstone on Anti-Social Behaviour (Bloomsbury), and Susan Taylor, Senior Solicitor at Capsticks as they outline the latest thinking on effectively tackling ASB.
