We are delighted to invite you to join us for our next Employment webinar. So-called “Freedom Day” may have been postponed, but many employers are finalising and implementing their plans for new ways of working. Whether you call it agile, flexible, hybrid or smart working, the changes raise many challenges and there are significant employment law implications.

But that’s not the only thing keeping employers busy and ensuring that their workplaces are COVID-19 secure remains a priority. We have now had a number of Employment Tribunal decisions about pandemic-related claims and these provide useful pointers to employers.

In our webinar on 15 July 2021, employment lawyers Holly Cudbill, Debra Gers and Ruth Christy will:

  • Provide an update on new COVID-related Employment Tribunal decisions, giving helpful guidance to employers worried about claims arising out of the pandemic.
  • Update you on other key cases on wide-ranging issues such as shared parental leave and the implications of “sleep-in” shifts for the national minimum wage.
  • Consider the challenges and employment law implications of introducing new ways of working, including whether the changes should be contractual, how new working patterns interact with the statutory flexible working request and some consequences you may have not thought of.
  • Make sure you’re up to date with the latest topical issues such as “fire and re-hire” and the campaign to extend day-one rights in the context of flexible working. We’ll talk you through recent developments and what to look out for over the next few months.

As well as discussion and insights from Holly, Debra and Ruth, there will be time for you to ask questions (and we will always ensure your questions are dealt with on an anonymous basis).
