This practical workshop will examine the concept of accountability in detail. Delegates will learn how to use accountability to plan and execute successful data protection audits to support organisational improvement in line with the requirements of UK data protection law.By the end of the workshop, delegates will be able to identify areas in need of development using the ICO’s Accountability Framework, understand how to improve their approach to accountability from a whole organisation perspective, determine priority areas for a DP audit and develop a plan of action, understand the benefits of auditing and the tools available and know how to ensure learning from audits is embedded into business as usual.
