Senior Childcare Solicitor at London borough becomes member of Family Justice Council

Lindy Stephens, Senior Childcare Solicitor and Manager at the London Borough of Lambeth, is one of five new appointments to the Family Justice Council.

Stephens joined Lambeth in May this year, after spending two years as Principal Childcare Solicitor at Oxfordshire County Council.

The other appointments to the Family Justice Council are:

  • Dr Andy Hayward, Associate Professor at Durham University, as its new Academic.
  • Louise MacLynn KC, from 1GC Chambers, as its new Silk representative.
  • Matt Clayton, Assistant Director at Coventry City Council, as its ADCS (Association of Directors of Children’s Services) representative.
  • Louise Duckett, public law solicitor at Davis, Simmonds & Donaghey.

The appointments are for a three-year term. Posts are unremunerated.

The primary role of the Family Justice Council is to promote an inter-disciplinary approach to family justice and to monitor the system.
