Family President suspends guidance on electronic bundles in relation to public law
The Guidance on Preparation of Electronic Bundles has been suspended in relation to public law, with immediate effect, the President of the Family Division has announced.
Sir Andrew McFarlane said the guidance would, however, continue to apply to private law and financial remedy proceedings.
In a note to Family Presiding Judges and Designated Family Judges, the Family President said: “The guidance will be referred to the Family Procedure Rule Committee with a view to a revised version being published in due course.
“In the meantime, judges and local authorities should proceed as best fits the needs of the case and the capacity of the software system available to them, and without the need to comply with the current guidance.”
