Selection process launched for up to eight Court of Appeal judges
Up to eight Court of Appeal judges are being sought for selection, the Judicial Appointments Commission has announced.
The Commission said it was “looking for candidates of outstanding ability” to replace retiring members of the court during the period June 2020-June 2021.
It added that applications were particularly welcome from specialists in public law, crime, general chancery and media. Applications from those considered more generalist are also welcome.
Prospective candidates have been asked to notify their intent to apply by 1pm on 24 February 2020, and applications will close at 1pm on 6 March 2020.
The positions each attract a salary of £215,094.
To be eligible to apply, candidates are required to satisfy the judicial-appointment eligibility condition on a seven year basis, or are a judge of the High Court.
