Maples Teesdale's Sutton joins Law Society planning committee

Chad Sutton, a partner and Head of Planning at Maples Teesdale, is to become a member of the Law Society’s Planning and Environmental Law Committee.

The committee keeps under review, and promotes improvements in planning law, practice and procedure. This includes related areas of law such as listed buildings and conservation, highways, nature conservation, water resources, drainage and flood risk, compulsory purchase and compensation) and environmental law and procedure.

Sutton, who joined his current from Trowers & Hamlins in February 2013, will serve on the committee for the next three years, commencing in September. He has previously worked at the London Boroughs of Hillingdon, Ealing and Tower Hamlets.

Sutton said: “I am glad to be appointed to the Law Society’s Planning and Environmental Law Committee. It will be a great opportunity to assist the Committee in its efforts to improve planning legislation and procedure for the benefit of all those involved in the planning system.”
