Head of Legal at Viridian awarded MBE in New Year's Honours List

The Head of Legal Services at Viridian Housing, Katrina Robinson, has been awarded an MBE for her services to social housing in the New Year’s Honours list.

Robinson, who has worked at Viridian for 13 years, was given the award in recognition of her strong commitment to combatting fraud and anti-social behaviour.

She is also chair of the Tenancy Fraud Forum which brings social landlords together to combat tenancy fraud.

Robinson said: “This came as a total surprise and I am honoured. I am very proud to work in housing where so many work tirelessly to help people live fulfilling and happy lives.

“There are many people, both at Viridian and across the country, who are just as passionate as me about social housing and who make a real difference for the families and individuals we serve. My work is just one small part of that.”

Hattie Llewelyn-Davies, Chair of Viridian’s board, said: “Katrina has shown outstanding leadership and commitment in her role at Viridian and in her wider contribution to the housing sector. We are delighted by this well-deserved recognition of her dedication and valued contribution.”

Robinson began her career as housing solicitor in 1997, representing private and social tenants in Cambridge and London.

She started her social housing career with New Islington and Hackney Housing Association in 1999.
