GMC awards Lincoln House Chambers £200k contract for advocacy services

The General Medical Council (GMC) has awarded Lincoln House Chambers a £200,000 contract to provide advocacy services in relation to extensions to interim orders in England and Wales.

The advocacy services relate to HCE Application hearings in England and Wales, including those under the weekly fixed listing date system and any exceptional cases falling outside this system.

The tender did not include advocacy services in relation to appearing before the IOP, FTPP and/or defending challenges issued in the High Court under the provisions of S41A(10) of the Medical Act 1983 against Interim Orders.

The contract was awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender in terms of quality (weighting 70) and commercial (weighting 30).
