Miller leaves Bevan Brittan as firm decides not to re-tender for SRA panel

Regulatory specialist Iain Miller is leaving Bevan Brittan with the firm choosing not to re-tender for the provision of legal services to the Solicitors Regulation Authority.

Miller advised HB Public Law – the Harrow-based shared service – on obtaining an alternative business structure licence in August 2014.

Bevan Brittan was appointed to the SRA’s litigation panel in 2010 and 2013. The regulator is currently procuring a new panel.

In a statement Bevan Brittan managing partner Duncan Weir said the firm had been extending its range of services and growing its client base into new business sectors and geographies.

“In preparation for the SRA re-tender, we reviewed the continuing level of investment required to deliver this aspect of our legal regulatory work and decided not to re-tender for the SRA panel work. This was not an easy decision because the SRA has been a valued client for a number of years,” he said.
