Lieven, Rose, Steyn and Swift among 18 new Deputy High Court judges

Natalie Lieven QC of Landmark Chambers, Dinah Rose QC of Blackstone Chambers and Karen Steyn QC and Jonathan Swift QC of 11KBW are among 18 lawyers to have been appointed as Deputy High Court Judges.

The appointments were made by the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, Lord Thomas of Cwmgiedd. They are for a single fixed four-year term.

Seventeen are barristers; Peter Marquand, a partner and head of clinical law at Capsticks, is a solicitor.

The appointments were made following an open competition run by the Judicial Appointments Commission.
