Stevenage appoints law firm to help with procurement of developer partner

Stevenage Borough Council has appointed Burges Salmon to advise on the process of procuring a developer partner for a major regeneration project.

The local authority made the appointment after using mini competition via the Crown Commercial Services Framework RM919 Lot 8. It was seeking to appoint a firm of legal advisers who have personnel with significant experience of major town centre mixed use redevelopment and urban regeneration projects who could be committed to the project.

The opportunity area identified by the council is known as SG1.

The contract with Burges Salmon is worth between £75,000 and £150,000; it started on 3 October and will run until 3 October 2018.
