Law firm picks up £3.3m contract to advise police forces and PCCs

Law firm Weightmans has picked up a contract worth an estimated £3.3m to advise various police forces and Police and Crime Commissioners in the South of England.

The procurement exercise was led by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey.

Weightmans will also supply legal services to Surrey Police, Sussex Police and the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Sussex within the counties of Surrey and Sussex (East Sussex, West Sussex and Brighton and Hove).

The award criteria were: method and approach (weighting: 25%); relevant and specific experience and expertise (weighting: 20%); ability to meet required deadlines (weighting: 10%); technical questionnaire (weighting: 10%); commercial questionnaire (weighting: pass/fail); and price (weighting: 35%).
