Underwood named as next chair of Social Housing Law Association

Dean Underwood of Cornerstone Barristers has been chosen as the next chair of the Social Housing Law Association.

Underwood will take up the role on 1 January 2016, succeeding Nick Billingham of law firm Devonshires.

The Association said: “Dean will be a familiar face for many of our members. He is a practising barrister and leading junior in housing and public law, a founder- and committee member of SHLA and has spoken at many of SHLA’s events, including its annual conference and regular members’ meetings.”

The SHLA added that it wanted “to pass on its sincere thanks to Nick for his unerring commitment to the association and its success”.

Billingham is to remain involved in SHLA as both a member and officer of the committee.
