Harwood, Coppel and Isaacs among barristers to be appointed QC

A number of barristers whose practices include advising public bodies are among 84 to have been appointed as Queen’s Counsel.

Those selected in the 2012/13 exercise include:

  • Jason Coppel, 11KBW;
  • Stephen Cragg, Doughty Street Chambers;
  • Richard Harwood, 39 Essex Street;
  • Elizabeth Isaacs, St Ives Chambers;
  • John Hayes, Zenith Chambers;
  • Fionnuala McCredie, Keating Chambers;
  • James Maurici, Landmark Chambers;
  • Karl Rowley, St Johns Buildings;
  • Kelvin Rutledge, Cornerstone Barristers;
  • James Strachan, 39 Essex Street; and
  • Sasha White, Landmark Chambers.

There were 183 applications this year. This represents the lowest figure since the QC appointments system was overhauled in 2005/06.
