Coventry names three councils alongside law firms on £6m panels: UPDATED
Coventry City Council has appointed three local authority legal departments alongside 12 law firms to legal services panels potentially worth up to £6m over a four-year period.
Kent and Warwickshire county councils have both been appointed to the childcare litigation, adult and general social law panel, while Birmingham City Council has won a spot on the education law panel.
The full list of chosen practices is:
- Childcare litigation, adult and general social law: Alsters Kelley; Browne Jacobson; Kent County Council Legal Services; Warwickshire County Council; Weightmans.
- General commercial and public law: Bevan Brittan; Eversheds; Freeth Cartwright; Mills & Reeve; Pinsent Masons.
- Property and litigation: Bevan Brittan; Eversheds; Pinsent Masons; SGH Martineau; Wragge & Co.
- Education law (including higher education and education trusts): Birmingham City Council LSB Law; Cobbettts; Eversheds; Mills & Reeve; Sharpe Pritchard.
The panels will be made available for use by UK public sector bodies including local authorities and educational establishments.
